Dr. James Myburgh is Director of BRE·DE·RE. He is also the founder editor of Politicsweb.co.za, a website focused on the news and politics of South Africa. In the late 1990s he worked as a Democratic Party researcher in Parliament, Cape Town, where he developed early opposition critiques of the ruling African National Congress. He studied at the University of Cape Town before that, and went on to earn a DPhil in Political Studies, at St. Antony's College, Oxford.
